Suri Alpaca Silk Lace Yarn in Blue Hydrangea

$21.00

Suri alpaca is extremely soft and airy. It is lace weight and can be used alone, or held double with another strand of yarn to create a beautiful halo and add warmth. It can easily substitute for mohair yarn in many patterns.

Skein is 328 yards/50 grams. 74% baby suri alpaca, 26% mulberry silk. Yarn is dyed in Blue Hydrangea colorway; variegated shades of pale to medium blue with hints of gray.

Yarn is hand dyed by me in small batches in my smoke free, dog friendly home. Listing is for one skein of yarn; any props or accessories in photos are not included in purchase. I do my best to accurately portray yarn colors in my listings but color may vary slightly due to differences in screens and variances in dye lots.

Due to the nature of hand dyed yarn, dying yarn in very small batches, changes in dye manufacturer’s formulas, etc, fiber braids will not be exactly alike. Also, I cannot guarantee that all colorways and bases will be available in the future, so please buy all that you will need for your project.

Yarn and fiber is rinsed and soaked to remove excess dye, but please be aware color may bleed. Please hand wash separately in cool water, and test a swatch if using for colorwork.

I take great care to be as sustainable as possible in my work. I use metal free acid dyes, avoid single use plastics in my dying process and reuse packaging material when I can.
